Park Party

Summer is the perfect time to get outside and enjoy what New York has to offer. So, if you want to have an outdoor party, but don't have a backyard to have it in, consider having your friends to a park. I have done this the last two years for my birthday, and my friends always look forward to it now.

All you really need is some blankets, a way to play music, and something to drink. Get a round cooler with a spout at the bottom and some plastic cups. Try this rum punch recipe. Its tastes great and packs a punch.

Easy Tropical Rum Punch

  • 1 bottle dark rum

  • 1 bottle light rum

  • 1 large carton orange juice

  • 1 large carton pineapple juice

  • 2 bottles mango nectar

I recommend chilling the liquor in the freezer overnight and chilling the juices in the fridge. It's also a good idea to make a few trays of ice cubes out of the juices, that way your punch stays cold inside the cooler without getting watered down.
